Revitalisingthe Boatyard
We are excited to announce plans for the redevelopment of our existing storage shed, transforming it into a thoughtfully designed space with accommodation above. This project represents a significant step toward revitalising the boatyard while respecting its heritage and the character of the riverside.
Frequently asked questions
What improvements are planned for the site?
We’re developing a state-of-the-art facility, including a new road-side chandlery, an upgraded workshop, and a refreshed, more welcoming environment for customers.
Has planning permission been granted?
Yes — we’re pleased to confirm that planning permission has been approved, so we can move forward with our vision for the site.
When will the new facility be ready?
We’re still finalising funding and construction plans. Once these are confirmed, we’ll provide updates on timelines and progress.
Will the chandlery move?
Yes — the chandlery will move from the white barge to a convenient road-side location, making it easier for customers to access. Once the new facility is complete, the barge will be removed entirely.
How will the new workshop benefit customers?
The upgraded workshop will have higher ceilings and larger doors, allowing us to work on bigger boats inside that previously had to remain outside. These are the same types of boats we already service — the improvement simply lets us carry out all work under cover, providing better protection and efficiency.
How can I stay updated on progress?
We’ll share news and updates on our website and social media as plans progress, so you’ll always know the latest about the new facility.
