Gel Coat Repairs to Hull Side
- Services: GRP and Gelcoat | Paints & Varnishes | Insurance Repairs
Following an incident in which the vessel fell over, significant structural damage occurred to the GRP hull. The impact caused cracking and areas of delamination that required immediate professional attention. In addition to the external damage, the internal structure was also affected. Several bulkheads had separated from the hull and developed cracks, making internal repairs essential to restore the vessel’s strength and integrity.
Our team carried out a full assessment of the damage before undertaking the necessary GRP repairs. The external hull was carefully rebuilt, reinforced, and restored to its original shape using appropriate GRP repair techniques. Internally, the bulkheads were reattached, repaired, and structurally restored to ensure the vessel once again met safety and performance requirements.
Once all repairs were completed, the hull was fully finished and polished, resulting in a clean, smooth surface and a professional-quality final appearance. The vessel was returned in a fully repaired condition, with both the hull and internal structure restored to a high standard.
